Just add water… • Goal: To simulate a scenario where the Earth is completely submerged with water. • Assumption: Water is uniformly added from an outside source. • Think aliens with a large garden hose. • Method: Modified the ocean area code to alter sea level. • Subtract an interval from each elevation H(iy,ix), taken from data set “topography_180x360_grid.txt”. I used a 10 meter interval. • New ocean area (or volume) can be calculated at each step.
