  2. Foundation General • Based on NCS, LPG and SAG • Official exam notices and circulars found on Thutong, Annexure G/H – law • Exemplar and 2008 and March 2009 - as examples of structure CAT Examination Guidelines 2009/10

  3. When in 2009 • Practical – 2 weeks before main starting time • Speed test • Written - with all the other papers • National learned from last year CAT Examination Guidelines 2009/10

  4. Optional Speed Test • 2009 on different day to practical paper • Follow instructions on paper • Save on CD, and print • 10 mins keying in time • >20 words a minute will be marked • Results on certificate CAT Examination Guidelines 2009/10

PRACTICAL • Obviously on a computer • Software must be able to fulfill the requirements of the LPG, e.g. WinZip, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Search functions, database • Internet and e-mail access disabled for exam period • Able to access Help on the network • Active and effective antivirus software used • System date current • Regional settings, i.e. currency, comma/point P R A C T I C A L CAT Examination Guidelines 2009/10
