  2. Introduction • A previous senator passed away and the governor “happy” had to chose a new senator “Smith” • Mr. smith goes to Washington

  3. Rising Action • Mr. Jefferson Smith wanted to make a difference for the boys in his community • Saunders helped him make a bill to make a boy camp in willet creek. • He is supported to pass his bill • The Jim Taylor machine wanted to prevent senator Jefferson smith from passing the bill.

  4. Climax • Jefferson Smith is accused of Grafting but he is innocent • Jefferson Smith lost a lot of “followers” because his people didn’t believe in his innocence. • Jefferson Smith wants to quit, but Saunders detains him and make him want to defend himself.

  5. Falling Action • Jefferson Smith did a 24 hour filibuster. • The Taylor machine created newspapers against senator smith • Saunders made the company smith owned to print a lot of newspapers to what smith was saying • The people of smith state started believe in him and so did the kids until the Taylor machine started to ruin the protests, signs, and anything else that was in favor of smith.

  6. Resolution • Senator Payne wasn’t to commit suicide • Smith passed out after 24 hours • Senator smith took blame for everything he had done, and smiths innocence was proven
