Questions asked in focus groups: • What is important for any person (woman, man, boy, girl) in our country to live well? • Who are the people who are not living well in our country? • What aspects of our country life do you think are important to protect and preserve in order to ensure that people live well? • Is the gap between those who live well and those who do not growing? • What has got better and what has got worse in our country recently? • Who (which actors and institutions both in and outside the country) can do something for people to live well in our country?

Consultations With Children:Results • Quality and accessibility of education; • Support for people who can’t work; • Protecting forests, rivers and oceans; • Better job opportunities; • Affordable and nutritious food; • Better healthcare; (Expanding partnership in education, protecting homeless animals).

Children: statements 1 “We, the participants of the National Round Table on the development of the recommendations on Post-2015 development agenda, taking into account the health care issues in Belarus and worldwide: • Recommend to improve quality of health care services in the rural areas; • Encourage application of modern technologies in health care; • Welcome scientific research in the health care domain; • Urge to raise wages to medical specialists; • Underline a low psychological support to people with disabilities; • Stand for universal access to health and fitness centers; • Call to ensure stock of essential drugs in health care institutions.

Children: statements 2 …taking into account the issues related to food availability and quality, • Recommend to reduce use of GM food; • Advise to establish tight control over food quality at food production/supply/sales points; • Propose to widen the use of international safe quality food standards. …taking into account the issues of protection of forests, rivers and oceans, • Request to draw attention to rivers pollution and drying; • Recommend to stop uncontrollable deforestation; • Highlight the necessity to preserve biodiversity; • Propose to create leafy escapes under security surveillance/reservation parks; • Encourage introduction of environmental education at all training stages; • Advise to encourage production from the secondary raw materials.

Children: statements 3 Recognizing the need to support persons unable to work, • Propose to foster non-barrier environment both in urban and rural settings; • Recommend to set up a centralized/unified system of multi-sectoralsupport to persons unable to work; • Encourage inclusive education that will facilitate active communication and organization of leisure time. Taking into consideration interrelation of education quality and employment opportunities, • Propose to accelerate the introduction of high-tech industries; • Recommend to arrange events that would raise youth’s interest to various professional occupations; • Advise to establish monitoring of the quality of education.

  17. Children: statements 4 We request to also keep focus on the following issues acute for us and our peers: • youth’s upbringing (family and school) and leisure; • support of youth initiatives and youth employment in spare time; • impact of IT technologies on the development of modern society.

  18. My World is a Global survey for citizens led by the UN and partners. It aims to capture people's voices, priorities and views, so that global leaders can be informed as they begin the process of defining the new development agenda for the world. MY World asks individuals which 6 of 16 possible issues they think would make the most difference to their lives. 16 issues have been built up from the priorities expressed by people in existing research and polling exercises and they cover the existing Millennium Development Goals, plus issues of sustainability, security, governance and transparency.
