R real a university for the world Goal & Purpose • Goal • To improve the administration of justice in Bhutan • Purpose • To strengthen the capacity of OAG lawyers and support staff to carry out the mandate of • drafting and reviewing legislation, • prosecuting criminal offences, and • providing legal advice to government institutions CRICOS No. 00213J

R real a university for the world Objectives • Standardise procedures to initiate and develop legislation in consultation with other government institutions • Develop skills & knowledge to draft legislation, prosecute criminal offences, operate a legal centre and undertake broader roles within the legal framework in Bhutan • Prepare senior OAG staff for management and leadership roles • Facilitate the development of a legal resource centre CRICOS No. 00213J

R real a university for the world Outcomes • Legislative drafters use standardise procedures • OAG lawyers and support staff perform more effectively and in collaboration with other government institutions • Senior OAG staff are better able to manage staff, identify work priorities, provide strategic directions • OAG has planning capabilities, information and resources to develop a legal resource centre to provide research facilities for Bhutan CRICOS No. 00213J
