  2. Bollards • Jan Mitchell started working on the Geelong bollards with • John Starr in 1995 and finished in 1999. • The bollards are located along the foreshore from ripple side Park through waterfront Geelong to Limeburners Point

  3. The Bay walk bollards tell a story of the people and events associated with Geelong through its history. • Some of the Bollards in Geelong are featured as – ladies, lifesavers, families, footballers, sailors, a town band, fisherman and lots more.

  4. There are over 100 bollards in geelong.The bollards are made from timber and are painted in bright colours to resemble human figures. They are painted in trompel’oeill (three dimensition illusion). The bollards stand over 2 meters high.

  5. When I was 10 I was lucky enough to see the Geelong bollards there are 101 bollards in Geelong and it took me and my family 2 weekends to look at them all. I was really impressed how the artist put so much work into to them and there were so many!!!
