  2. Want a job in the art world? Have you ever thought about becoming an architect, sculptor, or painter? Have you ever thought about a career in art? There are hundreds of careers in art. Today people with art training help design almost everything you see, buy, or use. They also plan the buildings in your community. There are special schools and programs for artists to prepare for careers in the art field.

  3. Architect • Architecture is the art and science of planning buildings.

  4. You could design skyscrapers and hotels, or even houses.

  5. Interior Designer • An Interior Designer helps people plan the interior, or inside space of a building

  6. After all the planning and design here is the finished rooms. What do you think? Could you be an interior designer?

  7. Industrial Designer • An Industrial Designer plans the way a product looks, feels and functions.

  8. Making things we use everyday beautiful and functional. Wouldn’t it be fun to create new designs for objects we use everyday?

  9. Fashion designer • A Fashion Designer is an artist who designs hand-made or manufactured clothing.

  10. Designing clothing that people wear everyday. Could you be the next great fashion designer?

  11. Cartoon Animation • In Cartoon animation the artist creates cartoon like movies in which separate pictures are drawn by artist and recorded on long pieces of film or tape. When the film is shown very quickly, the drawings appear to be in motion

  12. Illustration Artist • An Illustrator is an artist that creates pictures that help to tell a story or explain something. Today many illustrations are used to help advertise products.

  13. Graphic Artist • Graphic Designers are artist who plan Artworks such as posters or advertisements. They plan the lettering and some of The artwork for books, newspapers, Packages, and other things you see.

  14. Other careers in art: • Docents and Curators work at art museums doing research and deciding what artworks to display they also help visitors understand and see the art. • Conservators study ways to protect the rare and old artworks from decay and damage. • Landscape architects create plans for outdoor spaces such as parks, gardens, and recreation areas. Some landscape architects design zoos and amusement parks. • Sculptors create sculptures • Urban Planners specialize in urban, or city design. They coordinate very large projects like planning cities or areas in a city. • Photography is a large field of art, Can be anything from taking family portraits, taking photographs for magazines or newspapers, to art photographs. • Artists plan and create artwork for a purpose. Other careers in art could include acting, a chef, choreographer, cosmetologist, floral designer, and of course an art teacher.
