It’s also about understanding hazards to the workplace in all areas of the working environment, including environmental exposure to chemicals or substances, excessive noise levels, poor air quality, changes in climate (heat or cold), and ergonomic hazards associated with improper lifting and sitting positions. Industrial hygiene monitoring is provided to assist with the early detection of health hazards before they become major health issues. By using surveillance and monitoring techniques, companies can create a safe working environment that fosters productivity and supports continuity without interruptions or increased costs associated with accidents, injuries, and illnesses. The role of Certified Industrial Hygienists in the field of Industrial Hygiene is vital. They possess both technical knowledge and practical skills for identifying and addressing workplace health concerns using science and evidence-based practice.
