  1. Chin Augmentation vs Fillers: How They Improve Your Facial Contours Over recent years, aesthetic medicine and aesthetic surgery have come close to each other. Speaking of Chin Enhancement aesthetic physicians and surgeons both are adapting surgical procedures as well as minimally invasive enhancement procedures. Minimally invasive procedures are inclusive of injectable treatments with Polycaprolactone (PCL), Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) and Hyaluronic acid fillers. These procedures offer a good safety profile and are durable ranging from a few months to a few years. These products are being used commonly to treat profile deformities. An ideal aesthetic face should be proportionate, the upper, mid and lower thirds should be almost equal in length, in females. Whereas, in males the two halves namely upper and lower should be proportionate. Chin augmentation is highly recommended in the subjects with deficient and hypoplastic chin. Surgical augmentation of chin is the most common type of procedure using a chin implant, this procedure is called ‘genioplasty’. A pocket is made by making an incision under the chin where the implant is placed. Both these approaches are very different from each other but have the same objective which is to restore the harmony of the face. The minimally invasive approach is relatively simple and inexpensive with little or no downtime. Sometimes both these modalities are used together to achieve the desired result.
