  4. Conduct of Elections • Federal, State, and Local Elections • Contract Elections • 57 City, School, and Special Districts • 6 Counties in Addition to Collin • 1420 Voting Machines • Election Coding Performed In-House

  5. Special Projects • Election Day Vote Centers for the November Special Elections • Creation of 16 New Voting Precincts • Redistricting for JP, Constable, and Commissioner’s Precincts

  6. Staff • 12 Full Time Employees • 3 – 1800 Temporary Staff • Tremendous help from County Departments

  7. Available Funding • County General Fund • County Contract Fund • Secretary of State Chapter 19 Fund

  8. County General Fund • Proposed FY2010 Budget $1,381,875.00 Funds: Day to day operations November Election Mass mailout of VR certificates Early Voting for Primary Elections

  9. County Contract Fund • Set-up Pursuant to Statute • Duty to Contract • 10% Administration Fee • Proposed FY2010 Budget $406,645.00

  10. SOS Chapter 19 Fund • Funds Provided Based on Voter Registration Numbers • $180,000.00 Spent on Temporary VR Clerks in 2008 • Funds Up to 100% on VR Items
