  5. What We Accept… • Up to 1,000 tons of compostable material accepted each year. • Grass • Leaves • Cut flowers • Garden waste • Manure • Hay • Straw

  7. Expansion A need for more space prompted the relocation to a 3 acre site.

  8. Initial Uses • Compost was first used by Bannock County Fairgrounds and Solid Waste for erosion control. • The City of Pocatello also used it for beautification projects.

  11. Success – with a Cost • Before we could sell our Compost, it had to be screened and tested. • Screening Cost $9,150 • Testing Cost $300 • Labor and Equipment Costs were $44,000 • Sold 735 tons at $35 per ton which totaled $25,865
