  2. Summary This project refers mainly to obtaining and to studying gel systems containing cyclodextrins. Due to water solubility of cyclodextrin and their properties to form inclusion complexes, during this project will be investigated mainly hydrogels containing cyclodextrins. However, organogels will not be excluded from our investigations. The principal tool for investigation of such systems is EPR spectroscopy, but data are completed involving other physico-chemical methods (e.g. ATR-FTIR, fluorescence, UV-Vis spectroscopy, rheometry). The scientific objectives of the project can be summarized as follow: O1) to monitor the synthesis of different types of gels O2) to investigate the aspects related to gel fibres dynamics, using information obtained from analysis of EPR spectra ( this will involved spin labelling of hydrogels based on covalent network) O3) to investigate the encapsulation / release processes O4) to monitor reactions inside the gel systems This project offers the possibility to develop human resources in the institute, as three master students are involved , and also to improve the infrastructure of our laboratory.
