How to build effectively
How to use boards effectively
Provide a chapter with leadership, credibility, guidance, and contacts.
Recruit and train Chapter leadership
Promote events in community and attend events when available
Secure resources, such as speakers and funding
Lend their good names
Assist as they choose in setting goals and overcoming challenges
Use them as speakers
Leverage their network and connection
Give credit in programs, newsletter, etc.
Recognize in events
The core leadership of a Management Society chapter consists of a president, a president-elect, a past president, and an executive committee.
This structure provides continuity—a link to past activities and a way to fill vacancies that may occur in the future.
Attend monthly Executive Committee meetings
Take functional responsibility for an area of work to accomplish the purposes of the Chapter
Attend an annual dinner with the Dean of the Marriott School
Assist in other ways as they choose
