The one and two year old willow branches are harvested from December to February. The fresh willow bark is green and dries later reddish brown. If the willow is dried out, it must be boiled so that it is again supple and suitable for lichens. The bark turns dark brown after cooking. Each wicker fence is created in artful handwork and is unique.
