  • Baltimore Ex-Offender Re-entry Employment Program
  • (ex-offenders) – Abell Foundation

Skills Training and Paid Internships

    • Maryland Center for Arts and Technology (Baltimore City)

    • CVS/pharmacy (Baltimore and Prince George’s Counties and Baltimore City)

Skills Training and Paid Internships

  • HB 268 – Green Jobs Legislation
  • Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant
  • Private sector energy efficiency activities
Paid internships:

Offer an hourly wage of at least $10, benefits and a career ladder.

Offer paid interns same wage as employees in a comparable position.

Provide opportunity for paid interns to transition to unsubsidized employment after satisfactory completion of the paid internship.

Are available to customers within the MD RISE target groups

Entail expenditures to the employer for payment of unemployment insurance.

How can I explore paid internship opportunities?:

Contact your local department or DHR Central to provide a profile reflecting the proposed duties and the eligibility requirements

Interview and select candidates based on referrals from the local department

Enter into a hiring agreement with the local department
