  11. Role of the Maintenance Manager : • Is the VIT ‘member’ in the Desktop Council • DC is the ‘owner’ of the BTF v2 • Is the VIT ‘member’ in the Bite2 M&E network • All BA/BU Maint. Managers steer thelong term continuation & improvement of theBite2 concept and provide input to DC • Is the VIT driver of ongoing Bite2 improvements • Bite2 should not stop after the migration • Establish VIT client strategies & best practice • Ensures adherence to the Bite2 specifications & concepts • Reports to the VIT Global Product Council (= BOD Council) • Monitors & reports global and local Bite2 related costs • Monitors local implementations of the Bite2 concept Continue to steer Bite2 development and long term strategies

The technical ownership can be either global or BA/BU local. If the application is used by more than one BA/BU the technical ownership must be handled globally by VIT. If the application is used only by one BA/BU, the technical ownership will be appointed locally at the BA/BU where the application is used. Application Ownership covers two roles: Ø Application Owner Ø Technical Owner

Responsibilities: · Preparing and testing the product according to established requirements in terms of function and quality · Maintaining the technical description and keeping this up-to-date · Being responsible for and co-ordinate installation, upgrades, internal adjustments, troubleshooting and de-installation in accordance with established quality objectives On behalf of the Application Owner: · Ensuring that the software meets applicable laws and agreements, as well as other internal and external rules and regulations · Marinating the technical information for the application in the Product Catalogue · Ensuring that user guides are prepared to the required extent and that these are kept up-to-date

By using scripts and/or other manipulation of an application in order to make it run able for a User security group that otherwise needed to be “upgraded” to Power or Admin user need to be investigated application by application. They are allowed to carry out functions that will not directly affect the operating system” • Power Users Can: • Create local user accounts • Modify user accounts which they have created • Change user permissions on users, power users, and guests • Install and run applications that do not affect the operating system • Customize settings and resources on the Control Panel, such as Printers, Date/Time, and Power Options • Do anything a User can • Power Users Cannot: • Access other users' data without permission • Delete or modify user accounts they did not create. • Cannot modify IP address settings • Run debug mode (SD environment)
