  1. Socks – Different Types and When to Wear Them If you think that all socks are made equal, you might want to think again. Here is a quick rundown of the different types of socks and when they are worn. Occasion-Based Socks 1.Dress socks – Worn with formals such as tux and suits, dress socks are made using lightweight fabric. 2.Casual socks – These are comfy everyday socks paired with casuals. 3.Work socks – Durable and comfortable socks worn for long hours at work. 4.Sport socks – Athletic socks worn during active tasks made breathable and stretchy with spandex fiber. 5.Yoga socks – The heel area features small dots for anti-skid to give stability and balance during yoga sessions. 6.Low-cut running socks – These are short socks perfect for running that feature ribbed edges. 7.Winter socks – Thick wool fibers are used to offer thermal insulation during winter.
