  1. HEARING LOSS OR DEAfNESS When you hearing less, you become a victim of hearing loss. Hearing loss you can have many reasons like ear infection,ear damage and loudly sound.The most common categories of hearing loss are- Mild hearing loss Moderate hearing loss Severe hearing loss Profound hearing loss

  2. Cause of hearing loss • Advancing age(age-related hearing loss) • Trauma or injury to the head • Prolonged exposure to excessively loud noise • A single episode of acoustic trauma • A tumor on the acoustic nerve or acoustic neuroma • Ear infection • Medications • Genetic factors

Symptoms of hearing loss • Difficulty understanding everyday conversation • Facing issue in hearing T.V. or hearing at very high volume • Asking others to repeat often • Tinnitus, or ringing and/or buzzing sounds in the ears • Avoidance of social situations that were once enjoyable • Increased difficulty communicating with others

  4. Types of hearing loss Some basic hearing loss types :- • Conductive hearing loss • Sensorineural Hearing Loss • Mixed Hearing Loss • Neural Hearing Loss • Noise-induced hearing loss

  5. Sensorineural Hearing Loss Much more difficult to correct than conductive hearing loss. • Exposure to loud noise • Head trauma • Virus or disease • Autoimmune inner ear disease • Malformation of the inner ear • Tumors • Aging

  6. Conductive hearing loss Problem or blockage in the outer or middle ear. • Usually mild or moderate in degree • Wax buildup • Ear infection • Fluid in the middle ear due to colds or allergies • Trauma to the ear • In rare cases, tumors

  7. Mixed hearing loss Whenever the hearing loss of a patient include a mixture of both conductive and sensorineural characteristics, is said to have a mixed hearing loss. Blockage in the outer or middle ear. Damaged inner ear (cochlea) or auditory nerve.
