What is vCenter? • vCenter includes two broad product categories: • Centralized management server(s) • Most robust platform for virtualization management • Required for most vSphere features and vCenter products to work • Sold per instance • Infrastructure and self-service management add-on products • For managing a large, dynamic virtual or cloud infrastructure • Competitively differentiated • Sold per processor • vCenter is *not* a single product or bundle
