  28. Le Titanic fut construit en Irlande du Nord, à Belfast. C’était le plus grand navire de l’époque (269 m L x 28 m l x 56 m H pour 46 000 tonnes). Pour son premier voyage, le Titanic partit de Southampton, en Angleterre le 10 avril 1912. Le navire percuta un iceberg sur le flanc le 14-4-1912 à 23h40 et coula le 15-4-1912 à 2h20 au large de Terre Neuve. Ce naufrage fit environ 1500 morts. Seulement 711 passagers en majorité des femmes et des enfants de 1ère classe furent sauvés. Son épave fut localisée le 1er Septembre 1985 à 650km de Terre Neuve.  Paris, PHC
