  1. Litter Challenge Aim: Competing against other Aberdeenshire schools to run a successful litter campaign. 1st prize is £500, 2nd £300 and 3rd 200!!!

Steps- What we have to do… • Complete a litter survey and identify problem areas- DONE! • Report on the litter survey- DONE! • Make recommendations and an action plan for the campaign- DONE! • Carry out campaign to raise awareness and change behaviours- WASTE WEEK 24th-28th March! • Support Clean Up Scotland Campaign. • Create a final report and evidence and present our findings.

  3. Litter Survey • S1.3 pupils and S6 Geography Ambassadors have conducted litter survey in and around the school and Banchory to identify problem areas. • We want you to complete a small questionnaire before and after the campaign so we can measure our impact (details in pupil bulletin).

  4. Campaign Ideas • Blogging our achievements… you can comment too (info in pupil bulletin next week)! Mrs Carlson moderates.http://jointhepod.org/community/18118 • Litter Logo competition won by Kyle Sutherland 1M1- well done! His design will be used on all our work. • Assembly/pupil bulletin updates. • Questionnaire/ Online survey before and after to measure impact. • Litter picks. • Time Lapse- before and after litter picks.

  5. Waste Week 24th- 28th March What can you do? • Read information posters- be aware what happened to your litter! • Make a pledge! • Put litter in bins (even better if in correct recycle bins!) • No bin around? Put it in your pocket until you find one! • Tell your friends to put litter in bin if you see them drop it. • Our Litter Ambassadors will be out keeping an eye on your litter habits. We need to show we have improved the situation to win the competition and we need your help! • Suggestions or ideas as to what we can do are very welcome (within questionnaire).

  6. MOST IMPORTANT….Impact?! • Have we made an impact? • Measuring impact? • Report finding and present.
