Welcome to Kindergarten! Here's what you need to know about supplies, schedule, and communication for a successful start. Make sure to bring a big backpack, a change of clothes, an inch-wide binder, glue sticks, scissors, and more. The daily schedule covers arrival, math, lunch, and specials like PE and art. For lunch, children can buy or bring their own. Stay connected through the daily binder, email, blogs, and more. Be prepared for exciting events and volunteer opportunities! We look forward to a wonderful year together!

  2. Supplies • Backpack-big enough for a 3 ring binder & WITHOUT wheels • Change of clothes • 1 inch white 3 ring binder with outside plastic sleeve • Glue sticks • Scissors • Pencils • Crayons • Extras: Kleenex, wipes, Ziploc bags, cardstock, copy paper, colored pencils, markers

  3. Schedule • 8:00-Arrival & JYJ News • 8:30-Tardy bell • Math • Centers • Lunch • Recess • Daily 5 • Science • Social Studies • Spanish/Specials • 3:00-Dismissal

  4. Spanish/Specials • Spanish – language & culture • Specials- PE, Art, Music, Technology, Media Center

  5. Lunch • Children can buy lunch or bring lunch from home • Lunch choices • Milk • Entrée • 2 sides • Additional snack/beverage choices available • Lunch accounts • Put enough money on account for several days/weeks • Pay online

  6. Communication • Daily binder-sent home to be checked and returned with any money or notes from home, also means of communication about daily behavior • Email • Blog • Texts/phone calls • All transportation changes must be communicated to teacher in written form from parent
