  1. Landau Forte Academy AmingtonHALLOWEEN TREASURE HUNT The brief! This is a whole school competition to design, from start to finish, THE BEST EVER Halloween Treasure Hunt. You will go through various rounds of selection and if you are successful you will be coordinating ‘The LFATA Halloween Treasure Hunt’ For our local Primary school children! Wednesday 16th October

  2. Landau Forte Academy AmingtonHALLOWEEN TREASURE HUNT The process Round One: Your pitch The first stage requires you in groups of 5 to come up with your most amazing ideas for the treasure hunt. What is your USP (Unique Selling Point)? Why is yours better than everyone else's? How will you make it Halloweeny? Will you have costumes? The best concept per form will then be chosen for us all to work on to take forward to the next stage. Round Two: Appointing Roles and Responsibilities Once we have chosen our Form Concept we need to assign roles and responsibilities and develop the chosen concept into a clear plan of action! You will work in sub teams to produce everything you need for the perfect Treasure Hunt. Round Three: Presenting in Gathering (The 3 minute pitch) Monday 23rd- Thursday 26th September At this stage we will create a video presentation that will be shown in Gathering and the rest of your house will vote for the final choice Halloween Treasure Hunt Round Four: The presentation Thursday 3rd October On the Year 6 Parents evening the winning team from each house will set up a stall to advertise their treasure hunt- the goal being to try and entice Year 6 pupils and their parents to come to our Halloween fair and take part in one of the four treasure hunts! Round Five: The Treasure Hunt Wednesday 16th October You will set up your treasure hunt and entertain the masses!

  3. Preparing your pitch! Get yourselves into Groups of five and use the paper you have been given to plan YOUR PITCH be prepared to sell your ideas to the rest of the form! What Halloween theme are you going to have? Harry Potter? Ghosts? Would you have costumes?   4. The Dragon’s Den Who goes through? Will you invest? Let’s decide! Which group’s idea is the best?

  5. The Finance Team Have you got a head for numbers? Do you think you could control the money that we spend? You will be given a budget of £25 and will need to have a clear plan of how you will spend that money letting other team members know what they can spend and on what…

  6. The Marketing Team Are you good with words? Could you come up with ideas as to how we could best attract Year 6 pupils to our Treasure Hunt? You will need to work closely with the design team to come up with the words for our marketing collateral as well as writing the clues for the treasure hunt!

  7. The Design Team Are you creative? Could you come up with ideas as to a clear brand identity for our treasure hunt? You will need to work closely with the marketing team to come up with the design for our marketing collateral and liase with the Finance team on how much you are allowed to spend- as well as designing the treasure hunt Map!

  8. The Operations Team Are you organised? Are you good at planning. This team will need to decide exactly how the treasure hunt will work? Who will be doing what in terms of presentation and the actual treasure hunt, you will need to have an overview of the entire project and make sure what needs to be done is being done. You will need to check in with all of the teams and make sure everything will come together for key dates including the presentation selling our idea in gathering!

  9. You’re Hired! Now we have a clear idea of who is doing what- let’s write a list of things to do in our groups. Try to think of everything- be prepared to feedback so we can be clear as a team!
