  2. A pollutant is any substance that, when in an environment, poisons our air, land and water.

  3. Earth is polluted because millions of americans don’t recycle

  4. Examples of pollution • Oil spills that people don’t take the time to clean up • Factories letting smoke flow into the air • Cars and trucks

  5. What does pollution do to animals • Breathing pollution can harm them • Drinking water with pollutants in it

  6. How can we stop pollution to the earth • Recycling • Not littering • Car pooling • Staying home if its not necessary to go out
