Expectations • Of Communities: - $1000 registration fee (from the Band) - provide own transportation - provide own equipment - abide by zero-tolerance alcohol and drug policy • Of NBASRA Board Members: - designate someone (or yourself) as Community Manager for Summer Games - recruit coaches for each event and division - recruit volunteers

  3. Events Recreational Events • Horseshoes • Beach Volleyball • T-ball Competitive Events • Softball • Baseball • Golf • Ball Hockey • Indoor Volleyball • Athletics • Archery • Basketball • Wrestling

  4. Events Baseball • Limit 1 team per community in each division • 12 players per team • One division: • Mosquito (8-10) • One recreational exhibition game: • T-ball (7 & under) Softball • Limit 1 team per community in each division • 12 players per team • Six divisions: • Squirt (11-12) • Peewee (13-15) • Midget (16-19) • Men’s Fastpitch (17+) • Women’s Fastpitch (17+) • Co-ed Slo-Pitch (16+)

  5. Events Ball Hockey • 4 players per team (3 plus one goalie) • Limit 4 entries per community in each division • Two Divisions: • Ages 13 & under • Ages 14+ Golf • St. Ignace OR Bouctouche Golf Course • Limit 5 entries per community in each division • Three Divisions: • Men’s Two-Person Scramble (17+) • Women’s Two-Person Scramble (17+) • Youth Singles (16 & under)

Events Archery • Limit 5 entries per community in each division. • Four Divisions: • Male (13 & under) • Female (13 & under) • Male (14+) • Female (14+) Indoor Volleyball • 6 vs. 6 • Limit 2 teams per community in each division • Three Divisions: • Girls (14 & under) • Women’s (15-19) • Women’s (20+)

  7. Events Wrestling • Format TBA Basketball • 5 vs. 5, first to 21 pts (1 point per basket) • Limit 1 team per community in each division • Four divisions: • Male (12-14) • Female (12-14) • Male (15-18) • Female (15-18)

  8. Events Athletics Proposed events: Long Jump Events (2), Throwing Events (2), Individual Races (3), Relay Race, Long Distance Race. Limit 2 entries per community in each age category in each event. Ten Divisions: Ages 5-6 (Male/Female) Ages 7-9 (Male/Female) Ages 10-12 (Male/Female) Ages 13-15 (Male/Female) Ages 16-21 (Male/Female)

  9. Events (Recreational) • Horseshoes & Beach Volleyball • Purpose is to provide a recreational, relaxed atmosphere for adults. • Most likely, these tournaments will not require pre-registration, and teams can be randomly drawn on-site.

  10. Association with NAIG Games • 2011 NAIG Games will be held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin • Coaches for NAIG will be in place before the Summer Games • NBISG 2010 will be a scouting event for NAIG coaches

  11. Recruiting Coaches • See appendix • This can be used as a template, if you’d like a copy you can leave me your e-mail • Preferably coaches with some sort of coaching background, but work with what you have

  12. Deadlines • May 11 – Deadline for coaching applications in each community • May 14 – Have all coaches in place • May 19 – Complete Team Management form and fax to Jake (506-523-4743) • June 21 – Final rosters must be submitted for all events your community will participate in
