What? • The science fair is a way for you to demonstrate your scientific knowledge. • This year the projects will be judged in categories… with LOTS of subcategories. • Animal Science • Behavioral and Social Sciences • Biochemistry • Cellular and molecular Science • Chemistry • Computer Science • Earth and Planet Science • Engineering: Electrical and Mechanical • Engineering: Materials, Bioengineering • Energy and transportation • Environmental Management • Environmental Sciences • Mathematical Sciences • Medicine and Health Sciences • Microbiology • Physics and Astronomy • Plant Sciences

Why? • Science Fair is a great way to expand your knowledge of the scientific world • You gain valuable critical thinking skills • You have the chance to earn other trips and $cholar$hip$... hear of Mariah Rendeiro? When? • January 15-16, 2014 The Granbury ISD District Science Fair • February, 2014 The 63rdFort Worth Regional Science and Engineering Fair at the new College Park Events Center at The University of Texas at Arlington in Arlington, Texas • Late March/Early April, 2014 The 2014 ExxonMobil Texas Science and Engineering Fair at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas • May 11 – 16, 2014 The Intel International Science and Engineering Fair at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, California.

  5. Bonuses Due to the amount of work outside of class that is required, if you compete in the Regional Science Fair: • You will received an Advanced Measure toward you graduation plan. • You will have a day off from your classes in February to make your board in the library. • You are exempt from a science class project(major grade) assigned to the other students. If you have multiple science classes, you may pick which class you exempt… sorry, only one per customer.
