DecubitusUlser Pressure Sore Common for people who are sick and have to lie motionless Commonly known as “bed sore” Ranges from a mildly pink coloration of the skin that goes away in a few hours if pressure is relived, to a very deep wound extending to and sometimes through a bone into internal organs Can be avoided if person is turned/moved regularly

  3. The cause of vitiligo is unknown, but autoimmunity may be a factor • Vitiligo is associated with three systemic diseasesPerniciousanemia,Hyperthyroidism, Addison's disease

Vitiligo • Skin condition in which there is a loss of pigment, resulting in random white patches • More noticeable in darker skinned people • Frequently affected areas are the face, elbows and knees, hands and feet, and genitalia. • Vitiligo is difficult to treat. Early treatment options include the following: • Light therapy • Medicines taken by mouth • Medicines applied to the skin • Skin may be grafted or removed from normal areas
