  2. Cyber Stalking definition: Cyber stalking is the use of the internet or other electronic means to stalk or harass an individual, a group of individuals, or an organization.

  3. Cyber Stalking ExampleThe Case: “Tiffany” age 14, logs onto her social networking site. She has a request from “Tim” who she has never acquainted before. Tiffany wants to gain over 1,000 friends so adds Tim even though she has never met or heard of him before. A few days later Tiffany logs back onto the site to find she has four new messages, all death threats from Tim. Tiffany blocks him from her site but still receives threatening texts and emails because her security settings were not set properly. Tiffany is scared and doesn’t know what to do the threats keep getting worse and worse.

  4. Cyber Stalking ExampleHow to deal with it: The best thing to do when dealing with a cyber stalker is to tell someone about it. It may be your parents and if the situation gets worse, the police may get involved. To prevent this happening, check your social website settings, don’t share any personal details on the internet and do not add people whom you have never met properly before.
