Is PPC cement best or is OPC 53 grade best?

Both PPC and OPC 53 are best in their own ways as they have different advantages. PPC cement is advantageous due to slow conversion of calcium hydroxide in the hydrated cement paste into a cementitious product. It is economical due to the replacement of costly clinker by cheaper pozzolanic material. It generates reduced heat of hydration and that too at the low rate. Long-term strength of portland pozzolana cement after a couple of months is higher than ordinary Portland cement if enough moisture is provided for continued pozzolanic action
