Chemical composition and in vitro antibacterial activities of traditional medicinal plant: Olea sp.

The aim of this work is to study the phytochemical and antibacterial screening of Olea sp. leaves collected from Albaha region in Saudi Arabia. Elements such as Tannins, Steroids, flavonoids, coumarines, terpenoids, anthocyanates and proteins were detected when examining the Olea sp. Plant. The antibacterial activity was carried out by agar well diffusion method; Ampicillin was used as positive control and DMSO as negative control.
