Why we use engine oils?

Automobile engines have several moving parts which move and rub against each other simultaneously, the friction force it creates heat to burn the fuel and help move the car. Engine oils play a vital role in this rubbing and creating friction force to make the car move, these oils help in lubricating the moving parts of the engine and by reducing the excessive heat and allowing the internal parts to maximise the cars performance.
