A workshop rather an educational workshop is a short, single educational program to introduce practical skills, various ideas of participants which they use in their work in the future. Difference between a workshop, a conference, a seminar, and a symposium: The conference is the larger event than workshop and seminar. The seminar is also different from the workshop because it tends to be held in an institution or university with small groups of people. The workshop is less small than seminar and conferences. It has a less formal environment than seminar or conferences. The symposium is similar to conferences but held in a single day with less number of people than conferences.
