Terry Hay of New Zealand bought an existing business called Pacific Flight Catering in 1996. He sold both of those businesses and stayed with the flight catering business until he retired in 2008. By then he had founded two previous businesses, both of them successful: a health food distribution company in Hawaii in 1971, and a business that supplied salads to supermarkets in New Zealand in 1989.
