It became a phenomenon, with famous fans including Lord Lichfield, Len Deighton and Diane Keaton. Stores across the world raced to get it on their shelves, including Harrods in the UK, Bloomingdales in the USA and Galleries Lafayette in France. At one point, it was even made compulsory to buy one at the British Army Staff College in Camberley!
