2. Preface • What is a disciple and how to become a disciple? I once asked the spiritual elders, they said that a disciple is a person who follows Jesus Christ, but in today’s world, how can we follow Jesus Christ? And whether we follow Jesus Christ is what we should do today? What shall we need to do, can we find another way, what does the Bible say?

3. Follow Jesus • Matt. 4:19 “Then He said to them, ‘Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.’” • Matt. 19:21 “Jesus said to him, ‘If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.’” • Mark. 2:14 “As He passed by, He saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, "Follow Me." So he arose and followed Him.”

4. What is following Jesus • When Jesus became flesh, it was very clear to follow Jesus, but when Jesus had gone to the Father, how shall we do to following Jesus? • Follow the pastor? • Follow the church? • Follow the spiritual celebrities?

Several present spiritual problems • John. 16:13 “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. ” • The world’s method of interpretation of bible to become a disciple, resulting in the secularization of God, and believers also lack of confidence • Rom. 14:23 “But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin.”
