  2. About HBA Consulting • We are a Canberra based HR and IR consulting company, established in 1995. • We have a team of highly experienced senior consultants, with extensive HR and IR experience. • We have provided advice and assistance to more than 100 organisations across the public and private sectors within the ACT and nationally. • We have provided advice and assistance on more than 330 certified agreements, enterprise agreements and related workplace arrangements over the past 18 years. • We are currently on a range of public sector HR panels for the services that we provide – in both the Australian Public Service and ACT Public Service.

  3. Industrial Relations Strategy And Advice HBA Consulting has a long established history and proven track record for the design and delivery of professional and practical Industrial Relations advice and assistance across the ACT and surrounding region. HBA's reputation for its work in this field has also reached many other jurisdictions as our clients provide us with repeat business or refer us to their colleagues for clear, concise and pragmatic advice on industrial relations matters. HBA Consulting has assisted organisations in establishing and negotiating over 330 agreements (whether they be Certified Agreements, Collective Agreements or Enterprise Agreements) since the company was first established in 1995.

  4. Human Resource Management • HBA Consulting offers a dedicated Human Resource Management consulting service - HBA HR. This complements the established industrial relations and workplace investigations services we provide to clients. • HBA HR offers an extensive range of HR advisory services to organisations in both the public and private sectors. The service is underpinned by the broad and deep experience of all of our consultants, which enables us to bring to all of our assignment a high level of experience and professionalism, with a strong focus on delivering quality advice and assistance to our clients.

  5. Workplace Investigation • Even in the best performing work teams, issues can arise that require independent assessment and advice when employee behaviours go outside what is considered appropriate. • When this occurs, the reasons can often be multi-layered and extremely complex to deal with and are almost inevitably impacted on by the past history, personalities, relationships and cultures within the workplace. Because of the realities of these types of circumstances, and in order to maintain a degree of impartiality, many organisations have found that the best way to resolve these situations when they arise is to engage an external, independent workplace investigator.

  6. Workforce Restructuring • Workforce restructuring is a reality for all businesses over time, as they adjust to changing service demands, customer expectations, technological impacts on work practices and processes and changing economic circumstances. • Across the board budgetary reductions; Targeted reductions to some of the products or services undertaken by the organisation; Technological change that impacts on the numbers of staff required to perform both ‘front’ and ‘back’ of house functions; Mergers of organisations which means that a range of functions and services may be duplicated or have substantial overlaps, especially in the corporate and administrative support functions.
