Rainforests (copy this) • High rainfall 68-78 inches. • 75% of all species on Earth • Natural medicines. • Creates most of the worlds oxygen. • Canopy: dense ceiling of closely spaced trees • Understory: smaller tree species • Shrub layer: small trees that grow only 5 feet • Forest floor: ground layer
