  2. The Ele.C.Tra Project will develop a new model of sustainable urban mobility based on electric scooters

  3. Background European regions are characterized by anincrease of air pollutiondue to private road traffic. In many Countries transport is the first producer of particulate PM10, dangerous for human health, and nitrogen oxides. Urban congestion and shortage of car parking involve an increase of scooters modal share and this process is greater in cities with mild climate.

Objectives and main steps/2 TO DEFINE AND TEST AN INNOVATIVE MODEL… … for sustainable mobility, to give solutions to citizens’ needs, by the involvement of all stakeholders (e.g. vehicles suppliers, firms, public bodies). TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE USER-FRIENDLY ACTIVITIES… …in order to develop innovative means of transport.

  10. Objectives and main steps/3 TO MAKE AWARE PUBLIC BODIES AND STAKEHOLDERS… …changing the daily behaviour of citizens and tourists TO DEVELOP A SELF-FINANCING PROJECT… …the project doesn’t include any budget to buy e-vehicles. it isn’t the kind of project which ends when the funding runs out.

  11. Expected impacts/1 Ele.C.Tra IMPACTS Promotion of a change in daily behavior of citizens and tourists to act in sustainable and user-friendly way through the use of at least 100 electric scooters in every pilot city and 300 in 3 non pilot cities.    Generation of strong “mobility networks”, involving public bodies, firms, associations, transports operators, universities and e-vehicles suppliers.

  12. Expected impacts/2 Ele.C.Tra IMPACTS To enhance tourist appeal thanks to an innovative means of transport. Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions due to urban passengers transport.
