What is Service Learning? • Service-learning refers to learning that actively involves students in a wide range of experiences, which often benefit others and the community, while also advancing the goals of a given curriculum. • Connects the classroom to the community • Brings life to curriculum • Students gain a deeper understanding of course content • Enhances sense of civic responsibility • Helps foster passion for social change
