Christmas Housing: Eligibility, Terms and Conditions Start Date: Christmas Break Opening Day: Saturday, December 18, 2010 End Date: Interterm Reopening: Saturday-Sunday, January 1-2, 2011 *NO OPEN HOUSE DURING CHRISTMAS BREAK *NO MEALS SERVED DURING CHRISTMAS BREAK (OPTIONAL INTERTERM MEAL PLANS RESUME WITH DINNER SATURDAY, JANUARY 1, 2011) Eligibility, Terms and Conditions Note: These terms and conditions are already described in the Housing Handbook and you agreed to them when you signed your 2010-2011 Housing Contract (on file in the Housing Office.) • Semester housing fees do not apply to Christmas Break. Residence hall housing for Interterm and summer as well as apartment housing for Christmas, Interterm and summer must be arranged for separately and is subject to the relevant fee structures (see details below). • All undergraduate residence halls are closed for Christmas Break. Non-graduating residents must vacate their rooms no later than 10:00 p.m. Friday, December 17, 2010. Residents graduating in December must vacate their rooms no later than 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 18, 2010 (see Check-Out Procedures in the Housing Handbook, www.biola.edu/offices/auxiliaryservices/handbook). • International students or students who cannot go to their parents’ homes are encouraged to make alternate housing arrangements with friends or through their local churches. • Undergraduate Apartment housing is not closed during Christmas Break. Apartment occupants interested in occupying their apartments during the Break should apply by the deadline posted in the Housing Office. The fee for Apartment Christmas housing is $17.86 per day or any portion of a day. • Some Athletes and On-Campus Student Employees may qualify to stay during Christmas Break. Talk with your Coach or Supervisor to confirm they have received permission from the Housing Office for you to stay on campus.

  3. Christmas Housing: How to Sign-Up • Make sure you are eligible (see previous page!) • Login to “MyBiola” (http://my.biola.edu) to access MyHousing.

  4. Sign-Up: Get to“MyHousing” • Go to the Student Tab, and log-in to “My Housing”. Be sure to place a zero in front of your I.D. number to make sure it is 8 digits long (ex.09000002). *The Christmas Application/Sign-up will only be available Dec.1-10!

  5. Sign-Up: Application Select the “Christmas Break” Application then click on “next” to continue to the Terms and Conditions page of the application. (If you want to apply for Interterm as well, please complete both applications.)

  6. Sign-Up: Application (cont’d) • Read through the Terms and Conditions and select “I Agree” to continue to the Personal Information portion of the application.

  7. Sign-Up: Application (cont’d) • Complete the questions on the page. • Do not leave any field as “N/A”. • When finished, select “Complete Application” to continue to the next page of the application.

  8. Sign-up: Application Completed • Once you have completed the application you are signed up for Christmas Housing (unless you are ineligible). • Should you have any questions, call the Housing Office at (562) 903-6000 ext. 5838. You have officially signed up for Christmas Housing. Note: If you are not eligible and have completed this application, you will not be permitted to remain in your housing assignment during the Christmas Break. Now What?
