  2. Old teaching ways • Chalkboards have been used since the 1800’s. They were the best way to teach to a whole class. They then evolved into whiteboards with dry erase markers • Some schools ,mostly high schools, still use whiteboards, but the newest innovation used is projectors (mainly used in college classrooms) • Also, books have always been a great resource for learning. This would force high school students to carry around heavy backpacks containing many books at one time • This has changed today. Now, books and other reading materials are available on the internet, making it more convenient for students.

Computers Computers have evolved Most classes can be viewed online Teachers write notes in Word Can share information through website Notes homework syllabi Use In The Classroom Show notes or homework Go online for tools Poll the class on a topic or question The “Clicker” Project info on screen Spell check and thesaurus Rhyming dictionary for poetry Have computer read vocab words

  4. Smartboards These interactive boards are becoming more and more part of every classroom throughout America. Found in almost any classroom because any subject can use it. Cost Can vary from the type of computer one uses with the Smartboard and different types of boards but cost can run from around $3,450- $10,050. • The SMART Board interactive whiteboard is a large interactive whiteboard that uses touch technology to detect user input in the same way normal PC input devices, such as a mouse or keyboard detect input. A projector is used to display a computer’s video output on the whiteboard, which then acts as a large touchscreen.

  5. INTERACTIVE PANELS Interactive Panels are an easy way to control all of the electronics in a classroom through one touch screen device. Teachers can connect smart boards, projectors, computers and more to these interactive panels and they can quickly and easily control all of them. This makes teaching in technology based classrooms much more much more user friendly and much more efficient. CHECK THEM OUT!
