  2. What is it? And how much? • -Plagiarism is taking (copying) someone else’s work and claiming it as your own. • Below is a chart of what percent of teens plagiarize in a year:

  3. How to avoid it • There are many different ways to avoid plagiarism. Here are three of them: • 1. DO IT YOURSELF - Don’t copy other’s work. Use your own. • 2. ASK – If you’re not sure if you’re plagiarizing ask your teacher or parents. • 3. CITE YOUR SOURCES – If you use an idea for your work, make sure you cite the people who gave it to you. COPY

  4. consequences • If you do plagiarize, you could receive a bad grade, you could be fined and you could be sued by the author. • PLEASE! JUST DON’T PLAGIARIZE! FINE $200.00
