Purpose: DAS Fiscal Agent • Manage authorizations and billing for all DAS Fee-for-Service Initiatives • Develop client tracking system that is coordinated with existing state data systems • Administrative Office of the Courts • Medicaid • Motor Vehicle Commission • Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) • Develop system to track encounter data across fee for service and contracted services

Purpose: DAS Fiscal Agent con’t • Provide on-going claims support for DAS treatment providers • Call center will be available 9-5 during State business days to provide claims support and TA for DAS providers • Provide Agency Training • Computer Training Group in Iselin, NJ will conduct agency trainings • On-line tutorials will be available to providers as needed • Webinar trainings will be conducted periodically to accommodate DAS as well as provider staff

  4. Timeline • April 09 to present • Development of web-based data system which includes: • Web-services for integration of NJSAMS client information and encounter and billing information • January to March 2010 • Train providers on web-based system • March 2010 • Web-based Fiscal Agent pre-authorization and billing implemented with Co-occurring Network, Drug Court, DUII, MAP, NETI and SJI

Benefits to DAS and Providers • Uniform process for authorization and billing across all initiatives will eliminate training and retraining for agency staff • Increased uniform reporting capacity across initiatives will increase usefulness of agency and DAS management reports • New initiatives and projects will be seamlessly integrated into existing fiscal reporting system • More timely payment capability than currently available in Drug Court and MAP
