Glossary terms • Animal life- any member of the kingdom Animalia, comprising multicellular organisms that have a well-defined shape • Plant life- a living organism lacking the power of locomotion. flora, plant · organism, being - a living thing • Taiga- the sometimes swampy coniferous forest of high northern latitudes, esp. that between the tundra and steppes of Siberia and North America. • Habitat-the natural home or environment of an animal, plant, or other organism. • Wheather- Weather is the state of the atmosphere, to the degree that it is hot or cold, wet or dry, calm or stormy, clear or cloudy. Most weather phenomena occur in the troposphere.

  8. Physical landscape /habitat • The arctic tundra biome is found at high latitudes together with the tundra climate. The biome looks a lot like a plain without trees. • In the tundra region Short grasses, flowers, and grass-like sedges, along with covers of mosses and lichens are the dominate forms of vegetation in the tundra.

Logging happens across much of the taiga • The Taiga is being destroyed everyday by both humans and nature. Nature causes forest fires with lighting, diseased by parasites or herbicides, and spruce ...

  10. Weather • The tundra, goes through times of year  when the sun doesn't rise. • Temperatures don't rise above 10o C even during the summer time. • The conditions in the artic tundra are characterized as very cold and dry the Tunrda coldest biome in the world
