  1. Effective Water Treatment Process Effective Water Treatment Process Wastewater’s negative impact on the natural world is alarming and in order to save the planet and the creatures, it is essential to treat wastewater. Wastewater is not appropriate for humans to use and hence wastewater treatment is essential for us. Municipal wastewater companies in India are striving to purify wastewater to make it usable. Let’s take a look at some of the effective water treatment processes used by municipal water treatment companies in India.

  2. 1.Physical Treatment As the name suggests, physical treatment doesn’t have involvement of any sort of chemicals. In this process, screening, sedimentation and skimming are used for wastewater treatment. Sedimentation helps suspend heavy particles or insoluble particles so that pure water can be separated once the heavy particles settle down. Aeration is another popular and most commonly used physical treatment technique. In this technique circulation of air is facilitated to provide oxygen to it. Filtration is another effective method that filters out all the contaminants. 2.Chemical Treatment This wastewater treatment method consists of chemicals to treat the water. Municipal water treatment companies in India use chlorine - an oxidising chemical to neutralize bacteria that decompose water. Ozone is another oxidising agent that is commonly used for wastewater purification. Use of chemicals in the chemical treatment process is aimed at preventing the bacteria from reproducing. Another popular technique is ‘Neutralization’, in which acid or base is added to water to achieve natural pH 7 in water. 3.Sledge Treatment This solid-liquid separation process involves the use of a solid-liquid separation device such as centrifuge to remove the solids from the wastewater. Sewage treatment plant manufacturers manufacture devices for effective sledge treatment. In the solid-liquid separation process, the least possible residual moisture is needed in the solid phase, while the lowest possible solid residues are needed in the separated liquid phase. 4.Biological Water Treatment Biological water treatment processes are aimed at breaking down the organic matter present in wastewater. It could be human waste, soap, food or oils. Biological water treatment can be segmented into 3 categories: Aerobic process, Anaerobic process and Composting. In aerobic process bacteria decomposes the organic matter and further converts it into carbon dioxide. This carbon dioxide is then used by plants. Composting is also a kind of aerobic process in which sawdust or other carbon sources are mixed with water for wastewater treatment. Unlike aerobic process, anaerobic process involves the use of oxygen. In this process, the fermentation is used to ferment the waste at predefined temperatures.
