Christians believe that the world was created by God and that God made Humans to look after the world as stewards. This means they should leave the world a better place than they found it Christians believe that because: • The bible teaches that God created the word and that all of God’s creation should be respected. • The teachings of Jesus, Especially the Parable of the Talents, say that Christians should leave the world better than they found it • Jesus taught that Christians should share the good things of the earth
Other reasons: • Christians believe that humans have been placed in control of the world by God and that the resources of the world have been created by God for Humans to use. • Therefore Christians must respect and care for the environment though environmental concerns should not hurt human beings.
