Workshop Fees • €750 for residents including meals and coffee breaks, hotel accommodation. • €600 for early registrants (before July 2007) • €1200 for double room • €200 for non-residents (coffee, lunches & gala dinner included). • Half the price of other conferences! • If you haven’t paid, please do so (in Euros!) at reception. • Fees waived for 23 participants (including staff).

  5. Ask for a Receipt! • If you pay anything to the Workshop or Hotel do ask for a written receipt! • All receipts should be stamped.

  7. Excursion to Mount Etna • Departure by coach Wednesday 07:30 am for Piano Provenzana (north face) at 1850m. • Guides provided by “Volcano Trek” • Take walking shoes. Sun cream. Warm clothing. • Picnic lunch €12 extra. • Weather permitting!

  8. Choice of Itineraries • 20€ Hike to 1923 & 2002 craters. 3.5 hours walking. Medium difficulty. • 34 € Jeep ride to the Valle del Bove (spectacular caldera) and visit lava cave (lights & helmets provided). 1.5 hours easy. • 44 € 4WD mini-bus drive to 2800m. • 60 € Like 3. then hike to 3200m to crater. 2.5 hours. Book your itinerary toay in Sala Sestante! (1st & 2nd choices)

  9. Companions’ Program • If you are interested in participating again ask reception (Sala Sestante) • Possible shopping trip, Taormina etc. • There is also a free hotel bus to the city centre.

  10. Transport back • If you inform the conference office (Sala Sestante) well in advance, we will endeavour to find transport for you to the airport or railway station. • A flight timetable is available.

  11. Getting to Catania City Centre • The Sheraton operates a free mini-bus service into the city centre. • Ask at the hotel reception. • Don’t forget to take a phone number in case you get lost! Tel 3491095167

  12. Meals • Conference fee for residents includes meals. • Meals are be served in the “Il Timo” restaurant near the swimming pool. • Please inform reception of any special dietary requirements. • Be punctual.

  27. Oral Presentations • 25 minutes + 5 for questions • Presenters and moderators may allow interruptions • Overruns come out of Coffee breaks and meal times! • Keep your phones off please!

  28. Electronic Presentations • Please ensure that all papers and presentations are copied to the Workshop PC (Medion Laptop) • USB Memory key or CD-ROM or DVD • Ensure all pages are numbered! • Filename rules! (see Abstract book)

  29. Workshop Publications • Any material left on the PC may be edited and published after 16th October (unless withdrawn or amended). • PPTs will be converted to PDFs • Please contact reception to order • Contribute your digital photos too! (We can read most cameras)
