  2. URINARY TRACT INFECTIONS UTI are bacterial infections in the bladder that cause a burning sensation when urinating and often lead to urinary urgency.

  3. UTI OCCURS A urinary tract infection occurs in any part of the urinary system, such as the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra. Usually, infections occur in the lower urinary tract and affect the bladder and the urethra.

  4. TYPES OF UTIS There are several different types of UTIs including bladder infections, kidney infections, and urethritis.

  6. Sexually active women are more prone to UTIs than who aren't. The decline in estrogen after menopause causes changes in the urinary tract and make more susceptible to infection.
