  5. Abiotic Factors annual temperatures range from 20-25° C. The extreme maximum ranges from 43.5-49° C. Minimum temperatures sometimes drop to -18° C. Rainfall is less than 50 cm/year. www.google/images/desertbiomes

  6. Desert resources • Saguaro Cactus • Prickly Pear • Ocotillo • Barrel Cactus • Joshua Tree

  7. Resources • Petroleum, LPG, Methane gas. Palm trees. • Gypsum, salts (including sodium nitrate and sodium chloride), and borates. • Pleurisy-root or Butterfly Weed (Asclepiastuberosa) • Wild Licorice (Glycyrrhizalepidota)

  8. How has science helped to discover the resources that we can use. • Research done in science shows us details about the available resources in the desert and witch of them can be useful to the people who live in the desert.

  9. Human activities • Over use of fuels I the desert caused decreasing the amount of fuel storage under the earth. • Unscientiphic constructions of building caused the air and water pollution. • Use of vehicle in large numbers caused climatic changes.

  10. Use of natural resources • Use of natural recourses caused the economic growth of most of the countries. • Social standard of people have improved by proper use of petroleum resources.
