  1. How is MBA and PGDM are different? The corporate culture and many promising opportunities to become an entrepreneur have seen students choosing management courses recently. The objective of building a successful career path has struck the minds of young graduates really hard that many are venturing into the management course meeting their requirements. The pandemic situation has worsened the situation by delaying many admission processes but transforming education into a virtual platform has made up for the loss. Time is a significant factor for those taking up management courses, and those who do it in the least time will have their advantages. Hence, the dilemma for MBA courses or PGDM. What are MBA and PGDM? Master of Business Administration (MBA) is the post-graduate degree in management offered by several educational institutes worldwide. The institute would have to become affiliated with a reputable university to provide a master's degree in business administration. These institutes follow a single curriculum for the whole two-year course and give you the theoretical concepts, technical knowledge, and skills essential to be successful in the business world. Post Graduate Diploma in Management is also a two-year course approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) in India. The approved institutes have their own set of curriculums and can revise or upgrade it according to the industry's demand. They are not affiliated with any universities, but they can provide practical business knowledge to develop a successful career path. The major differences between an MBA and PGDM courses are as follows: Affiliation and preconceived notion: Any MBA college in India is accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and offers a degree to the student or graduate. In comparison, any institutes offering PGDM are approved by AICTE and can offer only a diploma course and not a degree. The conceptual concept that a degree is superior to a diploma is not valid in the market value. Choosing the right course that meets your career goals is essential to make between the two programs. Academic differences: MBA courses worldwide follow a single curriculum that primarily provides the theoretical knowledge and technical aspect of the business world. In contrast, PGDM offers a regular update in syllabus according to the business world and aims for more practical knowledge giving more exposure to real-life business circumstances. PGDM gives an edge to graduates facing job interviews, while MBA gives only recognition during the placement opportunities. Fee structure:

  2. MBA is an affordable degree for many people as the university's standard sets the fee structure. The PGDM programs are comparatively expensive as it does not have a formal setting and many additional fees may be collected from the students for a sophisticated practical experience. But both the courses are worth the money, but one should choose the program that meets his budget and qualification. Conclusion: An MBA degree can give over a PGDM holder a significant factor because it awards the individual a little more value and slight partiality during the employment processes. The entrance exams, interviews, knowledge for both the programs have no significant difference but getting a job is always a cakewalk for individuals who come from a reputed institution or university. So, apply now for admission to institutes that meet your career objectives and goals in order to build a successful career path.
